Tools and machines

There are plenty of basic tools available and a selection of machines for woodworking and metalworking. Some can be used independently after a short explanation. Heavier or higher-risk machines and tasks are used only together or under supervision. That’s how we keep things safe and calm for everyone.

Want to know how this works in practice (independent / together / supervised) and what to mention in advance? See Tools and machines.

Calm, atmosphere, and house rules

We want you to be able to work here pleasantly: with calm, respect, and clear boundaries. That means, among other things, coordinating when using heavier machines, respecting each other’s focus, and working sober. The agreements that go with that are listed at Calm and house rules.

Are you looking for a low-stimulus place to build back up and find your rhythm again? Then also see Calm and recovery.

Accessibility and layout

The workshop at Paul Krugerstraat is on the ground floor. In the standard layout, there isn’t enough space everywhere to turn safely with a wheelchair. If you let us know in advance that you’re coming with a wheelchair or walker, we can often adjust the layout so you can reach your workspace comfortably and the walkways remain safe.
