Workbench with woodworking tools

The Owl’s Nest is the community workshop of Stichting IRADIS / ASK-Solutions in Haarlem North. It is a place where local residents, young people, volunteers and people in reintegration or recovery programmes come together to make and repair things, or simply catch their breath with a cup of coffee. We combine technology and creativity with attention for people who want to take the next step.

Do you work for an organisation or fund and would you like to see how The Owl’s Nest could fit into your trajectories or policies? On For professionals & organisations we explain how we work together, which target groups fit with us and what trajectories roughly look like.

With your support we can continue to offer this place in the neighbourhood. Not as a large project with expensive campaigns, but as a stable, safe workshop where tools are ready, the door is open and there is time for a conversation at the table.

How can you help?

There are roughly three ways to support The Owl’s Nest and the foundation:

Support us with a donation

With a one-off or regular donation you help us keep the workshop, projects and guidance running. Even small amounts make a difference; a box of screws, a set of soldering tips or a part of the rent are already valuable to us. On the donate page you can read how you can contribute.

Become a volunteer or think along

Besides money, time and knowledge are just as important. We are looking for people who want to help in the workshop, can provide guidance, would like to organise things or share their technical experience with others. On become a volunteer you can read more about the possibilities.

Foundation

The Owl’s Nest is one of the projects of Stichting IRADIS / ASK-Solutions. If you prefer to support the foundation as a whole or want to read more about our other projects, have a look at the main site of Stichting IRADIS / ASK-Solutions for more information and donation options.

What do we do with your contribution?

Your contribution does not disappear into frills, but goes directly into keeping the workshop and the activities around it running and developing further. Think of:

In this way, with a donation you contribute to technical research and development, reintegration, prevention and local community work at the same time. Not in theory, but very concretely in a workshop where people are at work every day.
