We want The Owl’s Nest to stay low-threshold. You can drop in freely for coffee or tea and to get acquainted. If you use the workshop to work on your own project, we usually ask for a contribution. We work with guideline amounts and, when needed, align them to your situation, your plan, and the time we reserve.
Want to be sure there is space, or discuss what your plan needs in advance? Make an appointment.
Drop-in is free. You can stop by for coffee or tea, to catch up, to get acquainted, or to briefly discuss what you want to do. If you want to plan a half-day right away or be sure someone is there, an appointment is helpful.
The guideline amount for using workspace in the workshop is € 30.00 per half-day (morning, afternoon, or evening).
This usually includes:
For heavier or higher-risk machines and activities (such as the table saw, band saw, lathes, and welding) we only work together or under guidance. Whether that fits within your half-day depends on your plan and occupancy. If this is crucial for you: please mention it in advance.
Are you working on a larger project, do you need multiple half-days, or do you want to build something that cannot be fully cleared away each time? Then we agree on a fitting arrangement in advance. This can include, for example:
We look together at what is feasible for you and what works for the workshop.
For workshops we use a guideline amount of € 50.00 per person. This can be a workshop in a small group, or one-to-one by appointment, depending on the topic and what is needed.

You usually bring your own materials. Think of wood, metal, and parts that are specific to your project. Small consumables such as sandpaper, solder, screws, and lead came profiles can (if we have them in stock) be purchased from us, or you can use basic consumables we have available. We sometimes have offcuts and leftovers, but do not assume we will always have your exact size, type, or colour.
We want the workshop to stay accessible, also if money is tight. That is why we use guideline amounts. If your situation is limited, or if you come more often and help keep things running, we will look together for a fitting contribution. The most important thing is that it works both for you and for the workshop.
Are you working with a participant, student, or client on behalf of an organisation, institution, or employer in our workshop? In most cases that does not fall under half-day workshop use, but under a trajectory or collaboration. See For professionals or contact us to discuss the options.
Tell us briefly what you want to do. Then we align on what you need, what is feasible, and which contribution fits.
