The Owl’s Nest is the community workshop of the IRADIS Foundation/ ASK-Solutions in Haarlem-Noord. We offer a small-scale, safe place where people can build structure, resilience and self-reliance step by step through practical activities (making, repairing, small projects).
Important for context: we are not a mental health (GGZ) provider, not crisis care, not a traditional day programme, and not studio or unit rental. We work best as a practical place to practise alongside existing treatment, support, education or (work) reintegration, and we are often a particularly good fit when someone is (still) not ready for group day programmes or feels resistance towards that format.
In practice, the same questions come up again and again, but the right answer depends on what you are trying to do: do you want to list us in a directory, or do you want to refer someone and align on practical arrangements? That is why we have split the information into two short, focused routes. It helps you find what you need faster, without searching through a long page or accidentally reading the wrong section. Moreover, this not only works "afterwards", but often also in parallel with ongoing guidance or treatment.
If you want to take one step further, a few fixed routes usually help: the fit-check for a quick match, the foundation page for context and organisation details, and the locations overview to see what is possible where. And if you prefer to align briefly before referring someone, an appointment or short call is usually the fastest way.
When it fits, including for people who feel resistance towards group day programmes, how starting small works, what we can feed back, and our conditions.
Copy-ready text, categories and tags to place us correctly.
In many cases, one of these routes is enough to move forward: quickly check fit (fit-check), align briefly on a realistic start and conditions, or use the foundation page for context and organisation details. These are the links referrers use most often.
A short consult is often the fastest way to determine fit and a realistic start.
