What we are

  • Small-scale and safe: practising rhythm, agreements and gradual build-up.
  • Practical: making, repairing, small projects, practice tasks, calm hands-on work.
  • Low-stimulus where needed: small steps, breaks, predictability.
  • Complementary: alongside a clinician/coach/job coach/school/employer, with alignment where appropriate.

What we are not

  • No treatment or medical care; no crisis care.
  • No traditional group day programme.
  • No studio/unit rental or “empty hall with tenants” concept.

This page helps you quickly assess whether The Owl’s Nest fits as a practical place to practise alongside an existing pathway. We are a small-scale community workshop: a calm place for making and repairing where people rebuild rhythm, capacity and self-reliance step by step through doing.

Important for context: we are not a mental health (GGZ) provider, not crisis care, not a traditional day programme, and not studio/unit rental. We are often a particularly good fit when someone is (still) not ready for group day programmes or feels resistance towards that format. We start small and build up predictably, aligned with capacity, safety and staffing.

Not sure whether this fits? A short consultation usually gives clarity quickly.
