The Owl’s Nest – Spaarndamseweg

Spaarndamseweg is one of The Owl’s Nest locations in Haarlem-Noord. We mainly use this place by appointment. That keeps it calm and predictable: ideal if you want to book a planned session, need guidance, or simply want to be sure the space works for your plan.

What can you do here?: Planned sessions, calm, guidance, predictable working.
Facilities: A fixed base for 3D printing and electronics, with a 3D printer, soldering station, and a workstation for computer repairs. Other equipment is coordinated per appointment and project; not everything is always set up.
Accessibility: 　By appointment: we coordinate in advance how you enter and what you need to work comfortably.
Capacity: 　In principle up to 6 people at the same time (physically present), depending on ongoing projects.

Working by appointment

At Spaarndamseweg we work by appointment. That keeps the space calm and makes it easier to use your session well. It’s also the best option if you need something specific, or if you want guidance for a step you’d rather not do “in between drop-ins”.

What can you do here?

This location is mainly suited for planned work and projects where calm and focus matter, such as:

3D printing and prototyping (including preparation and post-processing);
electronics: soldering, cable work, and small setups;
computer and device repairs where you want to test calmly;
study assignments and design/build sessions with guidance.

3D printing, electronics, and computer repair

Spaarndamseweg is our fixed place for 3D printing and electronics. That doesn’t mean everything is “unlimited” here, but it does mean the basic setup is usually ready: printer(s), a soldering station, and a workstation for computer repairs. For specific software, parts, or special requests, coordinating in advance is helpful.
