We are looking for help to build a masonry wall at the back of our Paul Krugerstraat workshop. This is a real, practical job that will make the space more useful for repairs, making things, storage and quiet work.
We are not looking to commission a major building contract, but for people or businesses willing to offer practical help through their knowledge, time or hands-on work. Someone with experience in masonry, renovation or small building jobs could make a valuable contribution here.
The wall will be at the back of the workshop and will help divide and finish the space more neatly. The photos show the type of wall involved: a wall of light-coloured masonry units within an existing workshop.
This is not an abstract plan, but a job that needs doing. That is why we are looking for people who can take a look, offer advice or help with the masonry work itself.
We could use help from someone with experience in masonry, setting out, finishing or preparing for this kind of wall. We would also be pleased to hear from businesses willing to offer ideas or assistance.
That might mean advice, a visit to assess the job, help with preparation, building the wall itself or finishing the work neatly. Help with anything that needs arranging or assessing beforehand is equally welcome.
The Owl's Nest does not become perfect all at once. It grows through many practical improvements that add up to a real difference. This wall is a good example: not a spectacular renovation, but something that genuinely makes the workshop better and more usable.
We want jobs like this to be done properly. That is why we are asking people with the right experience, rather than muddling through or leaving things half finished. Someone who knows this work and is willing to help can improve both the quality and our confidence in the finished result.
Outside help can make a real difference too. A tradesperson taking on part of the work, a business offering advice, or someone helping us decide on the right approach could be just what is needed to finish this part of the workshop properly.
